China, A Beautiful Country (Day 5)

Woke up at 6.30 a.m. Once again, I had a very good sleep. Washed up and got ready to leave for breakfast. We didn't need to pack our luggage this time because we were staying in the same hotel. We went down for breakfast and of course, EXACTLY the same breakfast again. We headed for our tour bus after breakfast and went to West Lake, our first destination of the day.

I just LOVE this picture. Dunno why =)

After walking around for a bit, we went for a boat ride. The boat ride was half an hour long.

The boat.

After the boat ride, we went to a tea plantation. When we reached there, a lady showed us a demonstration of the tea. And it was really AWESOME. After the great demonstration, we decided to buy some tea which I am currently drinking. After that, we went for lunch.

We headed for a jade factory after lunch. Again, we had another demonstration. And guess what? The manager of the factory is a MALAYSIAN!! Yes, it's true. He was thrilled to see us Malaysians. He explained that he was from Penang and he truly missed our Malaysian delicacies. He also explained how to differentiate between a good jade and a not-so-good jade. We also got good discount prices on the jades he sold there. So of course we bought some. How can you resist good prices, right?
After quite a long time, we left for Silk Street. There were a lot of stores there. After shopping for a while, it got dark and we left for dinner.

Cup. Lol.

Then we went back to the hotel and had our supper. Maggi Mee is seriously delicious. Seriously. Hahah. End of Day 5.

China, A Beautiful Country (Day 4)

Woke up at 6. Early, yes? Then washed up and went down for breakfast. The food was..the same. So went to the tour bus.

Maple leaf.

We picked up George. First place we visited for the day was the Rainbow Stone Terrace.

In order: Aunty Agnes, Aunty Ruby, Koko Alvin, Koo Ma, Koo Cheong, my mum, me, my dad, Aunty Moy and Ah Fong Koo Che

After that, we went to this jade store. So a lot of bargaining was involved. Ended up buying stuff. Then we went to this bridge over Yangtze River.

After that, we went for lunch. After lunch, we dropped George off and that was bye-bye. Next we travelled to our original destination, Hangzhou. The journey was three and a half hours long. After a LONG journey, we reached Hangzhou. We went to McD to get some food as later we would be watching a cultural show. I ate nuggets. It was REALLY good.
Then we went to watch the cultural show. I thought it'll be boring, you know? Like traditional dances and all that. But to my surprise, it was actually quite interesting.

Oh, we saw this on the way =P

It was rather modern. After the show, we went for dinner. Then we went to West Lake. We saw the night lights and it was nice. After that, we headed for the hotel. And ate Maggi and drank Milo too. YUMM. End of day 4.

Hahah!

Bye!

China, A Beautiful Country (Day 3)

Woke up early again. 6.15 a.m. this time. Had a really good sleep. As always. Lol. After getting up, I bathed and washed my hair. Same routine as the previous morning. Then we went down for breakfast. Almost the same food as the previous hotel too. After breakfast, we went to our tour bus. First place we went for the day was a pearl factory. I guess you know what happened there. Lots of SHOPPING. Hahah. And also LOTS of bargaining. Yup.

After a LONG time, we finally left the factory. Lol. We went back to the tour bus and James left to tour guide other groups. We left for the next city, Nanjing. On the way, we stopped at one Buddhist place.

Ox! For the year of the ox!

My mum. Lol

As we were walking, a guide (from the place) explained the history and all that. We ate lunch at the same place after the exploring the whole place. After that, we continued the journey to Nanjing. When we reached Nanjing, the first place we visited was the Japanese memorial. There we met our Nanjing tour guide, George. And he could speak English too!! So he showed us around.
After that, we went for dinner. After dinner, we went to the indoor pasar malam. Koo Ma bought a pair of trackpants for me. It's nice!! Lol. Koko Alvin got a pair too.

A store with my initials on it!!!!!! YAY!!!! In China!!!

McDonald's!!!
It was very cold. So Aunty Ruby said the best thing to do in the cold was to EAT something cold. So we ended up eating ice-cream in McD. Lol. It was vanilla and really yummy. YUMM.

Ah Fong Koo Che, Lulu and Aunty Agnes eating ice-cream
After the delicious ice-cream, we went to our hotel. We went to our hotel rooms and I washed up. And once again, we had supper. This time with Maggi. So this time it's Maggi and Milo again. Hahah. End of day 3.

China, A Beautiful Country (Day 2)

Woke up at 6.30 a.m. feeling nice and fresh. I had a wonderful sleep that night. The temperature was just perfect. Anyway, my mum and I washed up, changed and packed for the next night as we would stay in different hotels every night. Fine, I guess my mum did most of the packing. Lol. Then we met with the rest and went to eat our breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast was fried rice, toast bread, eggs, etc. Not bad lah. After breakfast, we went to our tour bus along with Lulu and Alex. Unfortunately, Alex could speak Mandarin only so yeah.

For our first destination, I'm not sure what the name of the place is but here are some pics..

Spiky leaves!

My dad, me and my mum

All of us on a boat ride xD

Hahah! Balcony of No Frippery!

After that, we went to a silk factory. There we were shown various types of products made from silk like, pillows, quilts, etc. I got a pillow! Hahah. It's quite comfortable. All of us kinda bought A LOT. Lol. Then they compressed all the stuff we bought so it wouldn't take up so much space. After quite a while, we left for the Suzhou museum.

Fishies!

It was the normal museum stuff, you know? After that, we travelled to Wuxi. BTW, Wuxi is pronounced as Wusy, not Whoksi or Whopsy. Lol. So Alex left as he had other tours to handle. When we reached Wuxi, we picked up James, our next tour guide. And guess what? He could speak English! YAY! Lol. So our first destination in Wuxi was this Three Kingdom place.

Sorry so dark =S

Cabbage! Not edible xD
There we went for a boat ride!

The boat.

On the boat. Me and Koko Alvin

I love this picture!!

After the boat ride, we watched 2 shows at the same place.

First show..

Audience.

Er...gay 'lady'

Second show..

After both shows, we left and headed for a teapot factory. When we reached, this guy was waiting for us. He then showed us a demonstration on the teapots. It was really cool. In the end, we ended up buying 3 sets of teapots. Lol. Then we went for dinner. After a full dinner, we left for our hotel.

On the way, we saw..

Nice, right? Those are buildings, by the way.
When we reached the hotel, we settled down and me and Koko Alvin drank hot Milo again. No Maggi this time. Then I read comics for a while and then it's to Dreamland. End of day 2.

The hotel..

Sorry so blur, the name of the hotel is Dramajiangnan Hotel.

Bye!
