Change.

Everybody faces change.

Over the past year, I realized that I've changed a lot.
Then again, I'm sure everyone has, no matter looks, attitude, whatever.
Yesterday, I went back to SKTM for their Hari Kanak-kanak celebration.
There I really saw the difference between life in primary and secondary school.

I'm not going to say that DJ is better than SKTM.
No, I'm saying that compared to Standard 6, I actually prefer Form 1.

Last year, let's just say, it was full of drama for me.
That drama added to the stress that I already had thinking about UPSR.
And honestly, that drama succeeded in making me depressed for at least a month.

This year, there was no drama.
Yeah, sure, this is our first year in secondary school, of course there won't be any drama.
But why is it so?
I think it's because all of us actually grew up.

Last year, I was actually much more hardworking than this year.
When I had homework, I would complete it as fast as I could (not all the time though).
That was to avoid rushing to do it on the day it's due.

This year, I am now more lazy. xD
Okay, it's not something good but it's a change, right?
If there was a certain task we had to do by Tuesday, I'd do it on Monday night.
And for some reason, sometimes homework will eventually lead to Facebook (honestly, how does that happen?).

I remember the last week of school in SKTM, we were all freaking out about separating and entering secondary school.
Wondering how we'll do there, who we'll meet.

And now, after one year of Form 1, we laugh thinking back.
Secondary school life wasn't so bad after all.
In fact, it was actually enjoyable (well, for me).

I've met some pretty awesome friends this year who I will not forget.
Some, not so awesome, but life's like that. :/
Of course, I will also never forget my primary school friends.
Heck, all of you guys are awesome, no matter from primary or secondary school.
And that will never change.

A Busy Weekend.

This weekend was really a busy one for me.

Friday.
Okay, this is a weekday but it was memorable one. :)

It was the last day of school.
It was a happy yet a sad day.
Happy, because who wouldn't be when there'll be no school for the next two months?
Yet sad, because there's a big possibility we will all be in separate classes next year.
And I must say, 1 Batai was really one of the best classes I've been in.

I went to school early that day.
I waited for Shi Ying to arrive as we were going to give out pizza to the teachers.
After doing so, we went back to class and were already impatient to give out pizza to our classmates.

15 minutes before recess, we were all in 1 Batai, eating pizza and screaming our lungs out marking our awesomeness. ;)
The pizza was good.
And so were the pineapples!
Yumm.. :D
So good that Wai Sam and I fought over the pineapples that were in the box. xD
Some took one slice, some took two or more and some didn't get a slice. :/
To those who did not get the pizza, we are so sorry but it was on a first come first serve basis.

After recess, nothing spectacular happened.
Most of us just played games as usual.
And PJPK was so boring.

During the last period, our final 35 minutes as a Form 1 student, we were noisy like hell.
Everyone was hugging each other, saying goodbyes.
It was really the best school day. :)

1 Batai, you are one awesome class.
How many classes have a lembu and dog in it?
Not many. xD
And not many classes get the title 'Noisiest Class in Form One'.
Next year, I am hoping to be in the same class as most of you.
But if not, at least some of you will do. xD
1 Batai 2010. <3

Upon reaching home, I had to rush to my aunty's house for a wedding eve dinner.
My cousin was getting married the next day. :D
We were there for a long time.
When we went home, it was already 12.
Despite the time, I still went online but on my mum's phone till 12.30? xD
I went to sleep knowing that it would be a long day tomorrow.

Saturday.
I woke up at 7.30 feeling very sleepy. xD
Then we headed for my aunty's house to eat breakfast.
After that, my mum went with my other aunty's to the bride's house.
You know the part where all the guys go to the bride's house to get the bride?
Where they have to get past all the obstacles to get to her room?
In one obstacle, they had to eat wasabi biscuits. xD

While they were there, my dad and I went home to get ready for the next event, which was the tea ceremony.
After getting dressed, we went back to my aunty's house and awaited the return of the couple.

Soon the couple were in the house.
The ceremony started with them serving tea to the people elder than them according to their ranks.
Then the younger ones (including me) had to serve tea to them (and get angpows in the process).
After the ceremony, we went home to rest.

I slept to recover from my lack of sleep.
After an hour of sleeping, I was woken up to go to a salon to do my hair. :D
Yes, I set my hair.
My hair had big natural curls at the bottom. :D
After that, we hurried home to get dressed for the wedding dinner.
Then we left for Shangri-La. ;)

We had to go early because well, we were family and they had the cocktail session.
After an hour of entertaining people with my mum, the doors opened and we went to our table.
The ballroom decorations were really nice.
And the temperature was just perfect. xD

They started the dinner at 8.30.
After the first dish, they had the speeches where the fathers of the couple would talk.
After some laughs, we went back to eating.

There was one waiter who was serving our table.
This guy was really funny.
He would go to you and in his very loud voice, ask you: "YOU WANT SOME MORE DRINKS??"
And he speaks fast so you can imagine it. xD
It is scary when he randomly comes behind you and speaks.
Like when I was talking to my dad, he randomly came in between us and said: "YOU WANT SOME MORE FISH??"
I jumped in shock as I did not see him there. xD
Then I said that I didn't want anymore fish and he replied: "DON'T WANT ANYMORE AH??"
I, who was still in shock said no. xD
When he went to get the next dish, my parents, Koko Alvin and I were laughing away.
I literally cried of laughter.
I won't forget that guy. xD

After the dinner we headed home.
We reached home at 12 something.
I went to sleep at 1.35.

Sunday.
Today I woke up at 11. :D
We got a call from my aunty, asking us to go over to her house to count money. $$$
Turns out that everyone in my house just got up too.
We went to her house and before we started counting duty, all of us had a bowl of maggi mee.
Soon after, we went up to her room and started counting.
Well, my parents did.
My job was to check all the angpows that they have already opened, in case they missed any.
And after I checked them, I had to rip them and throw them into the bin.
But hey, I helped, right? xD

My mum talked about the waiter to my aunty and once again, I cried of laughter.
We finished everything at around 3.

After that, we had lunch and went back home.
Then I fell asleep at 4.
And I woke up at 7.
I didn't think that I could sleep that long but oh well. :D

Well, that concludes my weekend.
So for me, the holidays have just begun.
But before that, I would just like to say congrats again to KOKO AARON and CHECHE JOWYNNE. :D

I Love You, You Love Me, We Are A Sick Family.

Title says all.

This week, a few of my family members became, well...sick.
Must be the weather, don't you think?

Mum's sick, auntie's sick, cousin's sick, and worst of all, I am sick.

Yesterday, I had the worst fever in years.
I had a terrible headache from morning to night.
It was so bad that I had to go to a clinic.
My temperature was so high, the doctor said it might be dengue.
But she said if my temperature is okay today, then I should be alright.

And thank god, my temperature dropped today.
But I can't really say now because I have to check my temperature tomorrow too.

Okay, but the one good thing about getting a high fever is that you can doze off at any time.
On normal days, I sometimes take at least an hour before I manage to fall asleep.
But with a fever, I can sleep in less than 10 minutes time.

But of course, I'd rather not have a fever.
I managed to ease the pain by watching TARA4 yesterday night and PCK The Movie this morning. :D

Hoping to feel better tomorrow,

Exams Are Over, Now I'm Bored.

In the limo a block away, Isabel Kabra leaned forward, intent on the headset piping an uncultured girl's words into her ears: "We've been --"

Static. Nothing but static. The audio link was gone.

So they discovered the listening device. So what? It had been overkill anyhow. Isabel had the Cahill children's lead, and she had vastly more resources than they did for figuring it out. She had vastly more of everything that mattered than they ever would.

This was just...annoying.

Isabel almost frowned--no, don't do that. Remember? Frown lines? There's only so much Botox can do. Those brats aren't worth getting wrinkles.

They really weren't worth noticing, but just in case, she mentally sorted through everything she'd heard, checking for any significance at all in those pathetic children's pathetic conversation.

"You agreed with everything the Madrigals wanted in Jamaica"..."If we can't win the Madrigal way..." This meant they'd joined forces with the Madrigals, the shadowy ne'er-do-wells who had been the bane of Isabel's family's existence for centuries. Ah, well. In Isabel's experience, loyalties were nothing more than opportunities for betrayal.

Isabel mentally fast-forwarded to something the boy had said: "Can you imagine letting Isabel Kabra take over the world?"

Isabel let herself smile, even though smiles were nearly as likely to cause wrinkles as frowns.

Yes. She could imagine that. She could imagine it perfectly: the power, the glory, the rightness of it. Isabel Kabra was superior to everyone else in the world. When she won the Clue hunt, everybody would finally see that. She would rule, and everyone on the planet would obey.

They would obey--or they would die. Exactly as they deserved.

Amy and Dan Cahill certainly deserved to die.

Isabel's smile widened. She was almost grateful to those brats for managing to stay alive so long. This way, she could think of even crueler ways to kill them.

"Mummy?" Isabel's eleven-year-old daughter, Natalie, half whined from the opposing seat in the limo. "You look a little scary right now."

Isabel realized she was still holding the disgusting monkey.

"Here," Isabel said, thrusting the nasty creature into her daughter's lap. "You and Ian take the paper out of his mouth and figure out what it means. Justify your superior abilities and education for once in your life."

Isabel had trained her children well--the girl cringed away from the monkey, instinctively knowing that monkey hair would look horrible on her haute couture black dress. And fourteen-year-old Ian looked nauseated at the thought of potentially exposing himself to monkey spittle. These instincts would serve Ian and Natalie well someday, if they ever became the heads of the Kabra empire--after long decades of Isabel's astute rule, of course. But right now, Isabel's children were mere underlings, and she couldn't have them failing to obey a direct order.

"Whatever happened to, 'Yes, Mum. Whatever you say, Mum'?" Isabel demanded. "When did you stop obeying instantly?"

Ian mumbled something Isabel couldn't quite catch.

"What's that you say?" Isabel asked. "Speak up!"

"W-we--" Was Ian stammering? Ian, whom she'd trained to be smooth and suave, who'd known how to wear a tuxedo properly since he was three? He cleared his throat and managed to get the words out: "We haven't stopped obeying. We just think first now."

Isabel slapped the boy.

Freedom, At Last!

Exams are over!

OMG, I've waited so long for this day. xD
And now, I don't know what to blog about.

I have two things planned out to celebrate:

1. Go online for long hours.
2. Finish watching the whole season of How I Met Your Mother.

Get Ready For A Long One.

Yes, today I will post about the oh-so-awesome 39 Clues. :D
I'm aware that many of you don't read it but I'm bored so who cares? :D

One day, my dad bought Into The Gauntlet (the tenth book of the series) from Kinokuniya.
After I read it I was like, OMG BEST 39 CLUES BOOK.

So here are some of my favourite parts of the book:

1. Ian had always been taught that truth was a very flexible thing. His mother could smile brightly at another woman and say so charmingly, "Oh, that dress is just perfect for you. Wherever did you get it?" And then behind the woman's back she'd go on for hours about how such a hideous, shapeless old hag could not possibly have picked an outfit any more repulsive than that one. Or -- Ian had heard both of his parents, at different times on the phone, talking to business associates and assuring them, "Why, yes, of course, we have your best interests at heart..." -- and then hanging up, telling a subordinate, "Close down that factory. It's worthless." Or, "Sell that stock. Every last share."

Yes, they can be ruthless with everyone else, but really, they're doing it for their family. For Natalie and me.

Was that why his mother had slapped him earlier that day? Why she'd had Natalie on the verge of tears for, oh, weeks, now? Ian had always found his little sister a bit annoying, but lately he'd actually felt sorry for her, watching her try so hard to please their mother, who'd become completely impossible to please.

2. Broderick's BlackBerry beeped, signaling an incoming text. He read it, then held out the BlackBerry for Jonah to see.

Jonah braced himself against the back of the seat. He'd stayed away from his mum for the past several days. He'd ignored her messages.

He'd worked so hard to make his mother proud of him. He was Jonah Wizard, international star. Was tomorrow the day she'd also expect him to become Jonah Wizard, murderer?

3. "Natalie?" Ian called into the darkness.

He knew she was behind him. He expected to hear her complaining: about how the crowding in the elevator was wrinkling her designer dress, about how the sea air was terrible for her hair.

Instead, his sister reached out and held his hand.

4. Chill, Jonah told himself. Be cool.

Just think of the others as an audience, he told himself.

But audiences were all about love. All he could feel in this elevator was hate.

Well, they're more but I'm lazy to type them all out. :P

Time Passes Fast, Doesn't It?

Today is the 9th of September 2010.

Exactly a year ago, we sat for the UPSR examinations.

Wasn't that quick?
365 days just passed.

Remember the week before UPSR?
We were all freaking out, wishing each other good luck.

Remember the moment when they gave out the first paper?
We were all seated according to our class' name list.
Thinking, ohmygosh, it's here. UPSR is here once and for all.

The invigilator giving out the objective papers, each with our names and registration numbers on them.
Then they handed out the question papers.
Now thinking, no joke, this is the real deal.

Fast forward to the time when we got our results back.
That was most likely the happiest day of my life.

And now, here we are, in different secondary schools, facing new challenges.
Now that I think of it, I remember last year, when we all feared separation.
Now all of us have made it through almost a full year of secondary school life.

As much as I enjoy it, I will never forget my primary school.
The place where I got my education.
Without this primary school of mine, I wouldn't be half the person I am now.

And to my friends who were from a different primary school, no, I am not being a 'school-ist'.
I just really appreciate it.

Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Megah, thank you for everything.

United We Stand.

I know I'm a day late, but it's the thought that counts, right? ;)

Malaysia.
What comes to your mind when you hear it?

Multi-racial country.
FOOD.

And of course, our beloved country.

Why is it 1Malaysia?

It's because our country consists of many different races.

How many countries have you seen that have so many races in a country?

Not many.

That's one reason why Malaysia is special.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next, the FOOD.

Malaysia is a country that has endless varieties of food!

For the main meals, we have char kuey teow, nasi lemak and roti canai.

As for kuih, we have mooncakes, idli and onde-onde.

Let's face it, Malaysia is food heaven.

Before I end my post, I would like to say that,

I AM PROUD TO BE A MALAYSIAN!

Change Of Classroom.

On Monday, my whole class got shifted to the Biology lab (at the lowest level) temporarily.
If you're wondering why we had to do so, it's because Wei Yan sprained his ankle pretty badly.
He has to use crutches now. :/
Anyway, get well soon!

But there are advantages of being downstairs.
At least now we don't have to carry our heavy bags upstairs.
But unfortunately, it's only for 2 weeks.

On the first day, I sat at a table with Shi Ying, Katerine, Hui Yik and Cheng Wei.
On the second day, I sat with Shi Ying, Katerine, Wai Sam, Yue Hin, Hui Yik, Ariff and Kieran.
And on the third, I sat with Shi Ying, Katerine, Hui Yik and Ariff.

That was a rather repetitive paragraph. xD

DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again by Usher and Pitbull is a nice song~

Day Trip.

My aunty had been planning to go to Behrang (not sure of the spelling) since Wednesday.
So we decided to go on Sunday (today).

Today I woke up at 6.30.
Washed up, changed and got ready to go.
When we (my parents, grandmother and I) left for my aunty's house, we went to buy nasi lemak for breakfast.
Upon reaching my aunty's house, we ate a light meal of nasi lemak, fried bihun and sandwiches.
The we left for Behrang.
We went in 3 cars.

After an hour journey, it was raining heavily.
We stopped at a petrol station, which I was pretty sure was quite close to our destination.
My uncle called up the place that we were heading to check if it was alright there (he has...connections).
Turns out the place was flooded.

Then all of us decided to go home.
Sarah was sulking all the way back.
Kind of saddening, I was looking forward to this trip.

Anyway, we stopped at an R&R place for the restrooms.
That's when something caught my eye.
A shop nearby was selling labu, you know, the thing we have to do for art?
Bad thing was that, I already did my art yesterday and today these labus appear.
Haizz.

When we reached my aunty's house again, we ate our brunch.
I ate the nasi lemak which was really good.

Overall, the trip was a no-go.
Or you might say, the trip was a

FAIL.

School, As Usual.

As most of you might know, my whole class (well, most of us) have changed our places because of all the noise we make that disrupts other classes.

As for me, honestly, I just changed one seat to the right.
And Shi Ying is still beside me so there's not much of a difference.
Except for the fact that Hui Yik changed place and now I'm sitting next to a guy.
But it's alright.
Quite fun too.

The guy who sits south-west from me calls me 'Michelle E Lim Yen San'.
Yes, he does say the E there and also calls me by my full name.
And not to mention that he also likes to borrow my protractor.
Oh well. xD

The guy sitting next to me called me unreal in his blog.
Unreal?
That's nice. -.-

The guy sitting north-east from me, well, there's nothing much to say about him.
But he lives in fear of Shi Ying's deadly sneeze! xD

I'm sitting in the middle of 5 guys and 3 girls.

Inception.

Inception means the beginning or creation of something.

Yesterday, I watched Inception with my parents in Tropicana City Mall.
It was awesome.
This show requires thinking which makes the show puzzling yet interesting.
I really enjoyed it!
The show was around 2 hours 20 minutes long.
Definitely a show that must be watched again.
A dream in a dream in a dream in a dream.
Confusing?
Long story short,
Inception.

No Time For Daily Posts.

As you guys might've realized, I haven't blogged for the whole week.
Well, that's because I didn't have much time to blog during weekdays this week.
Anyway, now I'll be doing a post on my whole week.
The stuff that I remember at least.

Monday, 2nd August 2010.
Honestly, nothing much happened on this day.
Except during BM period, I couldn't pass up my komsas because Yong Sheng borrowed it and didn't come to school.
Haiz.
But when I got home after school, my mum asked me whether I would like to watch The A-Team with her.
So I watched it for the second time. :D

Tuesday, 3rd August 2010.
Now this was my unlucky day.
I reached school early that day.
Siew Jean, James and I were talking.
James accidentally pushed me and my leg hit the edge of the fish pond (near the canteen).
Ouch.
When school started and we went to our respective classes, me and Shi Ying realized that Yong Sheng did not come once again.
Sh!t.
During recess, Kenneth was walking past me and Shi Ying and said,

"I pity you lah, Michelle. Yong Sheng borrow your book."

Argh.
I know there's no reason to get pissed over that small measly sentence.
But hell, I was not in a good mood.
After school, I went home and watched How I Met Your Mother.
At least that lightened my mood a little.

Nothing really interesting happened on Wednesday and Thursday except for the fact that I watched How I Met Your Mother on both days. :D

Friday, 6th August 2010.
After my tuition at night, my dad bought an apple pie for me (yumm).
Sarah was staying at my house for the night.
She was bugging me for a bite of the pie but my answer was a straight no.
After many failed attempts, she gave up, went upstairs and sulked.
No, I did not feel bad.
I felt awesome.

You might be thinking, why so cruel?
But she's my cousin.
She's younger than me.
And that means I have full power to bully her!
MUAHAHAHAHHA.
Anyway, what are elder cousin sisters for? ;)

Movie Nights.

This week, I've watched 3 movies in 3 days.

On Tuesday, I watched Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time with my parents.
Honestly, I didn't understand the first few scenes of the movie but I understood it more toward the middle parts.
Not a bad show, actually.

On Wednesday, I watched Music And Lyrics with my mum.
I've always liked the song 'Way Back Into Love'.
Watched it until midnight.

On Thursday, I watched Coraline with my mum.
Well, it was one weird show.
Sewing buttons for eyes?
Let's just say it's a horror movie for kids.
I'm serious.

Movie nights are nice :)

The Blind Side.

Yesterday, my class got to skip four periods of studies to watch The Blind Side.

Meaning, we got to skip all the classes before recess.

If you guys were wondering why we got to watch the movie, it's because of choral speaking.

Yeah, so this is our reward ;)

We watched the movie in the bilik tayangan.

And I enjoyed the show, even though I have watched it before because you will always understand more of the movie when you watch it a second time, yes?

And I also like Sandra Bullock, as I said in the previous post.

Today, Miss Ely is going to give us an assignment to do based on the movie.

If only all school days were like yesterday ;)

We Lost.

Yes, that clarifies it all.

We lost against the Form 4s.
Here's the whole story.

At 1.10, the competition began.
We had to pick our number (even though there are only two teams taking part).
And guess what?
We got number one.

So we went first.
Unorganized, because we never rehearsed how we were going to get up on stage.
But I feel, that we did it quite well, for something we only thought of during the last few seconds.

Then we did it.
Our choral speaking.
And this time, it went perfectly (except for a teensy little bit in the end).
Among all our practices, this final performance was the best.

And then it was time for the Form 4s to do theirs.
And they were good.

After they were done, our class was praying so hard, hoping to win this.
And then it happened.

The Form 4s started screaming.
Then we knew, we had lost.
And people started tearing up and crying.

We were sitting at one end of the hall, most of the girls crying their hearts out.
Where else, the Form 4s were screaming away.
Yeah, you could say, we did feel miserable at the time.

Then a teacher approached us.
She said that we didn't have enough expression, should project more of our voices, etc.
On a happy note, she mentioned that we, this choral speaking team from 1 Batai, will represent the school starting next year, until we were Form 4s.
That lightened our mood a little (for some).

Miss Ely gave us around 15 minutes as a cry-or-laugh session to let it all out.
The dissapointment, rage, sadness.
As usual, me and Shi Ying were still as happy as ever, but there was still a pinch of sadness in me.
But I got over it and said to myself:

'You know what? We didn't lose at all. We won. How did we even get into this mini-competition against the Form 4s? Because we won the choral speaking competition against 7 other Form 1 classes. Now, fine, we lost against the Form 4s. But we didn't lose anything. Instead, we gained experience. No loss involved. And anyway, we get to go for the next 3 years! Imagine how much improvement we can achieve in a year. We did it in 2 weeks. In a years time, we'll be one awesome team.'

That's what I think.
So my advice is to just relax.
It's over, and we'll work harder for next year right?

Long live 1 Batai.
Or as Ariff would say,

Viva 1 Batai ;)

Another Ordinary Day.

Yesterday was somehow a weird yet awesome day.

It all started in school.
During Sivics, we had to act out some cerita rakyats that were in the textbook.
So my group, consisting of me, Shi Ying, Sheng-En, Weiqian, Lydia, Yieh Shing, Katerine and Azmiera chose the Kong Zhi story.
And it was a total fail.
Hahah.

Ah, Geography period was the time when I heard some pretty weird stuff.
If you read Percy Jackson, then you'll understand more of this Greek mythology.

Ariff claims that he is Zeus.
LOL.
As the god of the gods, he claimed Shi Ying as the Goddess of Sickness (which specializes in flus) and Yieh Shing as the Goddess of Money?
I was left a regular mortal.
Haiz..

For some reason that I cannot remember, they were fighting each other?
So Ariff was doing some stupid silat move xD.
So I told him, "You're Zeus, God of the Sky! Fly!".
And then he did some flying motions which look kind of retarded :/
Then he said he would just use a pegasus and fly away xD.
I replied, "Aiyoh, you're god of the gods yet you use Poseidon's creation to escape the Goddess of Sickness and Money."

Shi Ying is the daughter of Aphrodite?
LOL.

Yeah, well, it was a you-had-to-be-there moment.

A Busy Day, Indeed.

Yesterday was one busy day for me.
Let me tell you about my day, starting from the beginning.

I woke up at 7 in the morning.
Why so early, you ask?
Well, it's because I was going to Yuk Chai for their fund-raising carnival.
(And no, I am not from Yuk Chai.)

The reason I went for the carnival is because Sarah is in Yuk Chai and she asked me to tag along.
So I said okay.
I wanted to see Yuk Chai anyway.

At the carnival, I was shocked to know that they were selling:
1. Flat screen TVs
2. Durians, and
3. Siew yok

LOL.

There I saw Jia Sheng, Nicholas, Chia Sing and Cheng Wei.
I also saw Kwok Rong, Zheng Wei and many more.

After that, my aunty fetched me home.
Immediately after I reached home, my dad asked me whether I would like to go to Subang Parade, to get The Last Olympian book.
Upon we reaching there, we went to MPH and got the book.
But unfortunately, it was the cover I didn't like.
But oh well.

Then my dad bought chocolate flavoured bubble tea for me!
It was not bad.

After that, we left for home.
At home, I took a bath and had a lunch of fishball noodles (which was good).
Then my mum asked me to sleep as we were going to attend a wedding dinner at night.
But she failed epicly.
Heheh.

That is because at that time, my dad put on a dvd that he wanted to watch.
The A-Team.
So I went into the room and was like, "Oooh, it looks like a nice show!"
And I'm sure you can guess what happened next.
I watched the whole show and I want to say this.

The A-Team is one awesome show!
Go watch it!

After that I slept for an hour and a half.
I woke up and my dad cooked up a cup of maggi mee for me, my mum and grandmother to eat.
Yumm..

Then we went for the wedding.
It was quite nice, with cold air conds, nice decorations, etc.
The food was good too!

After the dinner, it was already 11 when we reached home.
After washing up, I went online until about 12?
Then I slept out of exhaustion.

I know I could have had a less tiring day if I didn't watch the show but, I couldn't resist ;)

The A-Team rocks.

There's Always Space For Improvement.

In my previous post, I told you guys about the problems we were facing because of choral speaking.
All the drama.

Thankfully, when we rehearsed our choral speaking yesterday, it went smoothly.
We managed to finish the whole script.
Yes, that is an achievement.
We managed to create lesser mistakes.

After completing one complete script, we did it another time.
But this time, we were being recorded.
(No, we were not being stalked.)

Miss Ely said that she would video tape us, then show us the results in the bilik tayangan.
Enough expression?
Cooperation?
Whether we sound good?
We'll know soon enough as she is going to show us the video next week.

Back to topic, after the second round of choral speaking, Miss Ely said this:
"From zero, the quality of your choral speaking has gone up thirty percent."

Thirty percent.
Now that is an achievement.
Thirty percent in a day is really good!

Honestly, I thought we would never win against the Form 4s.
But now, I changed my mind.

I think we really do have a chance.
Looks like we have to get our seventy percent.

No Title?

Okay.

As most of you know, my class (1 Batai) is competing in a choral speaking competition, yes?
So, it goes like this:

1. Competition against Form 4s next Thursday.
If we lose, that's the end.

But if we win,

2. Competition against other schools on the first of August, in Subang Parade.
Now that would be awesome.

But the problem now is, some people are not giving their all into this.
So you could say, we're going a bit slow at the moment when our first competition is next week.

For example, you should've seen our class yesterday.
Shouting.
Screaming.
Crying.

I know, some of you guys (from other classes) say that our choral speaking is awesome.
And really, we appreciate your support!
But behind that 'awesomeness' that you see, there are many problems.

Again, I refer to yesterday.
During KH, all the girls were EMO because of this particular reason (except me and Shi Ying, possibly?)

Sigh.
Like my MSN personal message states:
"Oh, the stress over one small petty matter."

Random Stuff.

Okay, so I've been abandoning my blog.
But now I'm going to relive it! :D
Starting with a post of what everyone loves, RANDOMNESS.
Hell yeah.
So, I got Storm Warning!
Like, FINALLY! :D
I've been waiting long and patiently for it to come out and I finally have it in my room now! :D
In case you guys were wondering what I'm talking about:

Yes, Storm Warning is the ninth book of the series, The 39 Clues.
I totally LOVE this series. :D
But among all the people I know so far, only two (excluding me) read this series.
And they are Hao Zhe and Yoong Jiann.
How could you guys NOT read this?!
It's super awesome!! :D
Ah well, I guess the story of two orphans with their au pair and pet travelling around the whole world in search for 39 clues isn't everyone's cup of tea.
Hahah.
Am currently listening to the Glee versions of Run Joey Run and Jessie's Girl. :D
Their voices are awesome.
Seriously. :D
Yay!
I'm going Genting tomorrow!
So happy~
I just remembered something.
After I get home from Genting, I gotta start doing my Usaha logbook.
Haiz.
Holidays are passing fast, aren't they?
-MichelleLim-

Supper.

Hey :)

Doesn't it just suck to have tuition during holidays?
I mean, it's a HOLIDAY.

Holiday = Time to REST.

Sheesh.

Anyway, after my tuition at Jayadiri, my mum and dad brought me out to eat supper! :D
They made a good choice.
They brought me out to eat wan tan mee!
God, it was awesome. :D

And then we headed home.
And here I am now, on the computer.

Good to be back blogging again :)

-MichelleLim-

Miss me?

Wow.

It's been a long time since I blogged. I left it abandoned because I lost my interest in blogging. But now, I'm going to start blogging again. Good to be back ;)

Oh, tell me whether you like the new layout, kay?

The 39 Clues.

People, I love this book (s).

Here are awesome quotes from book 1:The Maze Of Bones :D

Sad Quotes:

1. It was too gorgeous a day to die. She wanted to have one last picnic with the children. She wanted to be young and strong and travel the world again.

2. And with that, Grace Cahill closed her eyes for the last time.

Oooooh Quotes:

1. She'd worked hard to prepare for this day. Still, there was so much she'd left undone...so much she had never told the children.

2. "What you now hold is a bank voucher," Mr. McIntyre explained. "It shall only be activated if and when you renounce your claim to the challenge. If you so choose, each of you may walk out of this room with one million dollars and never have to think of Grace Cahill or her last wishes again. Or...you may choose a clue-a single clue that will be your only inheritance. No money. No property. Just a clue that might lead you to the most important treasure in the world and make you powerful beyond belief..."

3. "Hey, yo, wait up." Jonah Wizard sauntered forward like he was pretending to be a street punk, the way he did on Who Wants to Be a Gangsta? Which was kind of ridiculous since he was worth about a billion dollars and lived in Beverly Hills. "I'm all over this." He slapped his voucher on the table. "Hand me the clue, homes."

Funny Quotes:

1. At the moment, what he liked collecting best were charcoal rubbings of tombstones. He had some awesome ones back at the apartment. His favourite read:

PRUELLA GOODE
1891-1929
I'M DEAD. LET'S HAVE A PARTY.
2. "What are you reading this time?" he asked. "Medieval European Doorknobs? Bath Towels Through The Ages?"
Amy gave him an ugly face-or an uglier-than-usual face. "None of your business, dweeb."
"You can't call a ninja lord dweeb. You have disgraced the family. You must commit seppuku."
Admiring Quotes:
1. Ian and Natalie Kabra were standing by Grace's coffin, looking like prefect little angels as they talked to the preacher. They wore matching designer mourning outfits that complemented their silky black hair and cinnamon-colored skin. They could've been child supermodels.
Sarcastic Quotes:
1. The crowd started yelling and arguing. Finally, Dan couldn't stand it anymore. He called out, "Most likely to what?"
"In your case, Dan," Ian Kabra muttered right behind him, "to be a stupid American git."
2. Natalie Kabra winked at Dan. "Ciao, cousin. Must run collect our fortune." Then she and her brother strolled up the drive.
Questioning Quotes:
1. But Dan frowned. If this invitation was such a great thing, why did the lawyer guy look so grim? And why had Grace included the Kabras?
Thinking Quotes:
1. Amy never expected to inherit much. All she wanted was something to remember Grace by-a keepsake, maybe one piece of her beautiful jewelry. Now this...she felt completely lost.
2. Part of Amy wanted to chase down the Kabras and hit them with a chair. But part of her wanted to crawl under a rock and hide.
3. Ian was smiling smugly. Perhaps you weren't as important to the old woman as you thought, eh? Amy remembered what his annoying sister, Natalie, had said: Grace just knew they weren't up to the challenge.
To Be Continued ^^

Awesome day of school.

Fridays are awesome.

Really.

School yesterday.

I'm gonna type my post in italic (lol).

Reached school with Siew Jean (same transport) at around 1.30 to 1.45

We were talking and all of a sudden, Ridge and Darryl came out and talked to us (lol)

Ridge was eating fries using chopsticks?

And by chopsticks, I mean like, 2 satay sticks?

And he was like, "You want? You want?"

LOL.

He even fed Darryl (hahah)

Italic is awesome!

Anyway, after that, Daniel (Kah Chun actually but he changed his name? I dunno) appeared and said hi and called Siew Jean Tom.

x)

And OMG, his watch!

His watch was BRIGHT neon greenish.

Awesome.

=P

Then we berkumpul in the hall and all that.

First period was Science.

Not a good start for the day though ==

During Science, while we were in the Science lab, all of us kena scolding cuz only like 2 or 3 people actually did the graph thingy -coughKaterinecough-.

So we all had to get the graph paper and do it before recess.

So Wei Yan was the only one who actually had graph paper, so everyone was rushing to him.

So I thought, "Ai yah, cannot get one lah"

Then Ariff was saying that he's a monster cuz he tore a paper from Wei Yan's book (lol)

But I was saved in the end cuz Weng Kitt gave me Ridge's graph book to tear a piece out =P

Thank you!

During recess, hanged out with Shi Ying, Siew Jean and Daniel.

Then Daniel was like,

Daniel: Can I call you Michelle?

Me: Of course you can lah!

Then he was asking Siew Jean:

Daniel: Can I call you Tom?

Siew Jean: NO.

Daniel: Can I call you Jerry?

Siew Jean: NO. Eh, you call her Jerry larh -points to me-

Me: WEI!

Daniel: Eh, no lah. She's Michelle. Can I call you Jean?

Me: MUAHAHHA

Daniel was like, doing some kind of dance xDD

Siew Jean: Can lah. And what are you doing?

Daniel: Ok, very hard to remember your name lah -looks at her name tag- OH SIEW JEAN.

Me: Ya lah! My name so easy remember hor?

Siew Jean: Ugh.

LOL.

Then she runs off to go toilet =P

Then James comes and talks to us.

James: Hey cool! All the Lim's!

Daniel: Yeah lor!

Me: AWESOME x)

Shi Ying: I feel very left out -runs away-

LOL.

Then we triple high-fived

xDD

Then James went and told Huey Jinn about the LIM POWER

While going to the court to line up, Daniel keeps on like, looking at his wallet.

Me: No more money arh?

Daniel: No lah, still got.

He showed me his wallet and there's like, more than RM10 in there.

Me: Oh, I see, I see.

Note: It's quite hard to say Daniel cuz there's also a Danielle. So it's like, Daniel, Danielle, Daniel, Danielle. If you think it's so easy, you should try saying it fast! Daniel, Danielle, Daniel, Danielle.

While lining up, all of a sudden, this slow and nice music comes out..

Very nice..and slow..

And all of a sudden...

This lady was opera singing!

I'm talking about a video, not a REAL lady =P

We were laughing like, CRAZY!

Hahah.

Then school went on as usual..

During ICTL, the guys were like, throwing this hairband around (lol)

Sheng Yang called it "a donut covered with gorilla hair"

HAHAHAH.

SO they were tossing it around.

Then school's over.

Went for BM tuition.

After tuition, reached home and...

Dreamland.

School.

Heyy

Let's start from the very beginning of the day..

During the time in the hall, they called out the names of the people who passed the prefect interview (I was one of them, ;D).

So we went outside and had a short (very short) meeting.

I think almost everyone in Batai who went for the interview got it =P

Anyway, the day went on as usual.

Homework.

Homework.

Homework.

RECESS!

I brought my SO delicious butter cookies!!

YUMM!!

So after my awesome cookies, I followed Siew Jean to Kooperasi cuz she wanted to buy her Maju shirt.

When we reached there, Weiqian, Sheng-En and Hui Yik were there (I didn't know they worked there till today ^^)

So the shirt was RM10, and this Siew Jean go and pay RM50 (lol)

So then Hui Yik gave her like, 2 RM10, 1 RM 5, and 15 RM 1.

I was like, WOW so much small change!

So I took a few bucks from Siew Jean (hehe)

Of course I returned it back larh

Then she was counting to make sure the change was enough (haiz, she doesn't trust me, lol)

Then she said okay.

Then from the back Hui Yik said "Eh if not correct, don't blame me ah"

No one trusts me xDD

Doing my Maths homework now..

Sigh.

Pengakap.

Random ah..

But before I start my post I wanna say that this song is like, really funny:

PANTS ON THE GROUND,
PANTS ON THE GROUND,
LOOKING LIKE A FOOL,
WITH PANTS ON THE GROUND!

Hahah, American Idol auditions are so funny xD.

_______________________________________________________

Today most DJians had to go to school at 8 *yawn* to attend koko activities (unit beruniform).

I'm in pengakap, if it wasn't clear enough for you.

Pengakap was like, 4 hours long!

I thought it'll be like BORING, but surprisingly it was REALLY fun.

Spent the whole day with my new friend, Danielle Woo!

xD

So we got divided into groups lah (following class).

Then we went to the first station.

The guy there was Wel Liam (something like that).

He's like a senior scout (not form 5, as in SENIOR) so he's supposed to teach us the way of the pengakap xD

Guess what?

He asked us who was from Taman Megah and turns out he used to be an SKTMian too!

Then he started singing "Sekolah Rendah Taman Megah..."

So cool xD

Then we talked about camping, going into the jungle like an orang asli (Shawn's idea) and jumping ON a cliff (also Shawn's idea)

So he was a really funny guy lah.

Then the process repeated for another 3 stations (but none SKTMians besides him)

Then it was 12 in no time.

I enjoyed myself today but ONE problem.

SLEEPY!

Pengawas interview.

Yes, you read right.

I went for the interview.

For pengawas, NOT PSS.

Seriously.

The people who went for the interview from 1 Batai were (in order lah) Hui Yik (aka number 10, right, Shi Ying? xD), Cheng Wei (for some reason he reminds me of Aaron Chin, dunno why leh), Lydia, Yao Ning (aka Mr. Tan), Ee Lin, Shi Ying, Katerine, ME!, Claudia, Krishmeera, Samantha, Sheng Yang and Princess.

And the interview went like this,

First you enter with the normal nervous feeling,

Give the passport sized photo of yourself to teachers (Puan Ely & Puan Chong),

Go and sit down in the chair provided (seriously felt weird as I never got interviewed before, xD)

They'll ask questions.

They ask this student (Form 2) who purposely mess up his uniform and we have to act like we're a pengawas.

And you know who I got?

Shaun Chew.

Yup.

Remember him?

The Bayan guy who is really good at lontar peluru.

So after that, they ask what rules are he breaking and we have to tell them.

After that, they comment (either "You're fired!" or "Very good")

I got a "Very good".

;D

Week one of secondary school...

...is finally over.

That's right.

The week we dreaded last year has finally come to an end.

But I have to say, teachers in DJ are pretty nice =)

So these are my teachers (that I remember) of 1 Batai:

BM- Puan Chong
English- Miss Ely
Maths- Puan Khor
Science- Puan Puah
History- Puan Ida
Geography- Puan Noor Zana (our class teacher also)
Moral- Puan Norazlini

Something like that lah...

BTW, I'm in Unggul!

And I'm taking Maths and Science club, scouts and badminton for koko.

See ya!

May we survive the next week of school!

Award shows.

These few days, I've been watching quite a number of award shows on 8TV. I watched:

1. American Music Awards 2009
2. Teen Choice Awards 2009
3. MTV Video Music Awards 2009

The American Music Awards 2009

AWESOME. This was the award show where Taylor Swift and Michael Jackson won a lot of awards. Unfortunately, Taylor Swift was at a concert or something so she couldn't attend. Anyway, as usual, the show had a lot of performances. I found out that I really like the song, "Empire State Of Mind" by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. I admit I'm not really a fan of Alicia Keys but she sounds good in the song. So Taylor Swift won Entertainer Of The Year and the show ended.

Teen Choice Awards 2009

Ahh, this award show was present with MANY stars. The award is a surfboard. The hosts were the Jonas Brothers. The show started off with a performance from them. Britney Spears won the Best Artiste award (or something like that). Unfortunately, they didn't ask her to sing. Twilight won 11 awards including: Best Actor (Robert Pattinson), Best Actress (Kristen Stewart), Male Fresh Face (Taylor Lautner) and Female Fresh Face (Ashley Greene). The show ended with ANOTHER performance from the Jonas Brothers. During the show, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys also performed Empire State Of Mind.

MTV Video Music Awards

The host of this award show was Russell Brand. The show started with Madonna making a speech about Michael Jackson. After that, there was a tribute to him. They played 3 of his famous songs (Thriller, Bad, Smooth Criminal) with dancers dancing the exact same steps as in the original Michael Jackson videos. The first award was for Best Female Video. The presenters for the award were Shakira and Taylor Lautner. She-Wolf and Werewolf (lol). The winner was Taylor Swift for You Belong With Me. And yes, this was the award show where Kanye West cut in and said that Beyonce's Single Ladies was the best video. But I disagree. Single Ladies is just like, Beyonce running around in circles (lol) but You Belong With Me has a storyline so it's more interesting. The show continued. Everytime Kanye West was nominated for an award, the audience would boo him and shout Taylor. Taylor Swift performed You Belong With Me at a subway station outside the venue of the award show. Later on, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner presented the trailer of New Moon. The show ended with once again, Empire State Of Mind. In the end, Russell Brand said he was the real winner of the night because he was staying in the same hotel as Katy Perry.

Ahh....I really LOVE award shows.

Tonight there will be the MTV Movie awards ;D

See ya!

China, A Beautiful Country (Day 6)

Before I start my post, I would like to say,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Okay. So it's the usual I woke up, washed up, went down for breakfast. But this time, it's for ONCE not the same food. Because we cooked Maggi Mee!! Lol. After breakfast, we decided to walk around the hotel and enjoy our last day in China.

This is the tour bus number plate.

The tour bus.

'Pizza'

After the walk, we brought our luggage down and we left for the airport. When we reached the airport, we said goodbye to Lulu and our bus driver. Then we headed for lunch.

My lunch. It was nice =P

We got on the plane and that's the end of my post on my trip to China.

=)
